Chinese Bagua Jian is longer and heavier than the standard Chinese Jian. This Jian is longer than European Bastard Sword and has a more forward balance that empowers the tip. The circular guard was often seen on the Jian of noble and some believes it carries more practical values than the common inversed triangular guard. The metal spherical pommel allow quick change of direction with the back hand during two-handed usage.
